JH audio Ambient FR review
If you are an audiophile and looking for a custom in-ear monitor, I would be happy to share my experience with JH audio Ambient FR. The product comes in a wide variety of colors, materials, and graphics depending on your needs. Additionally, the headphones are 3D printed, which provides sound quality and comfort while listening. The technology that JH audio uses with this model, Soundrive Technology, is a proprietary mini-driver, so the Ambient FR has up to eight drivers per side which are four low-frequency drivers and four high-frequency drivers. The room inside the headphones has Ambient Bore, a small audible tube for picking up ambient sound and also expanding the soundstage for a better listening experience.
After a year of use, this product is remarkable in its sound design and technology. As for the design, the headphones’ 3D printed shapes fit in my ears and are comfortable to wear, so I can spend more time listening to music. After a year, the colors of the headphones are the same as what I saw at first sight. Do not fall off or look old.
Regarding the low-frequency sound, it’s an impressive and distinctly bass sound. The bass effect does not disrupt other vocal ranges, so the bass is pleasant to hear and provides sound fidelity, just like listening to live music in the studio. The mids do well thanks to technology from JH audio, which designs room for the low range and high crossover range. The mix of two ranges simultaneously produces a dramatic mid-range. Its sound is warm and similar to the midrange that comes from the drivers, even if the product doesn’t have a midrange driver. The highs are an intimate experience and maintain a soft quality. You won’t find any painful brightness with a high tone.
As for the technology, it is, according to the company, and can be noticed while using the headphones. For example, the soundstage accelerated by ambient bore, sound accuracy from Soundrive Technology, and 3D printing that fit the customer’s ears. However, the only thing I would like to complain about. It is difficult to do maintenance because the technology is too technical. Therefore, the dealer cannot repair it for you. If your custom in-ear is broken You must send your headphones to the US for repair with their company.
In conclusion, if you are a music enthusiast and serious about sound quality, JH audio Ambient FR is the right headphones for you. I would rate it 9 out of 10, it has been deducted for its overpriced. The cost that you have to get is about 40,000 baht. However, the quality of the product is reasonable due to its performance. The combination of highs, mids, and lows is incredibly placed. To get an accurate listening experience The shape of the headphones is perfectly fit and designed for personal ears. So these headphones will surely last you a long time.
