Images change thier function, they didn’t recoed events any longer. On the contrary, they’re sort of project history in the sense that whatever the sense that whatever the image show trend to realise themselves. In the digital age, we all are part of internet culture. The tech device like smartphones that include camera can capture a moment in reality and upload it a few seconds. The image-maker is not been only a few people, but it can be anyone to re-present through an infinite angle. In this reflective writing, I am going to talk about the manipulation of reality when it is transferred into a digital platform through my own experience.
Six years ago, One of Thai facebook’s user posts about the sexual harassment behavior of the man who was secretly taking a video of women’s pants in BTS Skytrain. This post became famous over the night and many Facebook users rebuked the man for doing disgusting behavior to women. However, the story wasn’t true like the owner of the post had claimed.
This video shows the feeling of the man who was accused to be a psychopath because of misunderstanding.
As for the visual experiment, I used drawing to record physical action in real space.
Then, the original image was transferred into the digital platform and was manipulated by using photoshop to reconstruct the image of physical action in reality.
To explore the manipulation of reality when it is transferred to the digital platform. In this project, I will continue to explore how digital alter reality.
